HOLIDAY HIDEAWAY HOUSE RULES “Some of our rules may sound stern, but we just want to make sure we are all on the same page before we get you all checked in. Thanks in advance for taking a quick second to acknowledge them! “ 1. THE LIGHTS FLICKER intermittently when you use the hot water. We know this seems strange but we have an “on demand” electric water heater so we don’t run out of hot water. It has done this for years and is not a danger. We are hoping with the grid upgrade from Entergy, this stops. 2. The doors can close rapidly with the coastal winds. Please be mindful when opening and closing the doors both at the house and downstairs in the garage. 3. lf you are a local resident; you must contact us before booking. 4. Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm; sound will travel through the walls if too loud. 5. Guest must provide a valid ID that matches their credit card information. 6. No parties or events allowed 7. Pets allowed. We are glad if you were able to bring your pet along, but please note we have a few additional rules: No more than ONE (1) animal, no larger than 50 pounds. Pets are not allowed on furniture & please clean up your pet. Pets will be always leashed when downstairs. Please do not leave your pet home alone unless crated. 7. Guests must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible 9. NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no "smoking" includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and "use of fire" includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed 10. There cannot be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time; a violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund 11. Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 11:00 am. We're sorry we have to charge this, but we pay our housekeepers based on the agreed-upon checkout time, and if they are unable to clean, we still have to pay them 12. We will place a small deposit hold on your credit card the day before your arrival to cover any accidental property damage that may occur, and it will be released after your check out. Please note that if we fail to capture your security deposit, your reservation will automatically be canceled 13. We would like to inform you that a 4% credit card fee will be applied to any cancellations and refunds and we will follow the platform's cancellation policy 14. Guests who make reservations for over 30 days must sign our standard lease agreement and agree to a background check before check-in (it will be provided before check-in) 15. Excessively dirty units will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced with photos Please treat our home with care. Report any damages immediately and do not rearrange any furniture. 16. For your security and protection, the property is equipped with an exterior camera 17. Please remember to take all your belongings with you upon checkout. Any items left behind will incur a $50 Mailing fee (separate from the cost of postage). We will do our best to send your items back to you within a week. 18. If by not following any of our rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming or existing guest, you will be liable for the costs 19. If you were a previous/current guest and did not respect our house rules and our property, we have the right to decline your next reservation. Thank you for understanding.
